Magdalena Velevska | RAFW | Day Three.

Magdalena Velevska S/S '11

The inspiration from this collection comes from a floral embroidered motif taken from Magdalena's mum's wedding gown
as well as the traditional folk costume of her homeland, Macedonia.
With every new collection she likes to experiment with different techniques.
Raffia weaving, macrame, terry towelling like embroidery and drop stitch knitting techniques are what make up this collection.
Bold, bright colours have been used in blocks of orange, pink and tangerine in representation of a modern summer.

I'm in love with the skirt in the first shot.
And I'd kill for those heels.
These dresses remind me of a Dion Lee creation, maybe that's why I love them so.
